What is the advantage of registering online? Can I still pay by check and mail or fax my registration?

We are encouraging all participants to submit their registration online using Children’s Hospital of Alabama’s secure online registration system. This option allows you to instantly reserve your spot in the tournament. You may still pay via corporate or personal check by simply selecting the “Bill Me” option as a payment method on the online registration form.

How is the Beads of Courage Challenge Calculated?

The Beads of Courage Challenge is calculated by the number of “journeys” bought by Nucor teammates divided by the number of employees working at the particular plant. The highest % wins. Although this is a teammate competition, we do encourage outside contributions (from vendors, friends, family and the local community) in support of the Beads of Courage program. However, these contribution will not be used in calculating the final winner.

As a nonprofit hospital, Children’s is heavily-reliant on philanthropic donations to provide world-class research, treatment and care for our patients. We saw more than 677,390 patient visits in 2018, making us one of the nation’s 10 busiest children’s hospitals. Your money allows us to continue taking care of children regardless of the family’s ability to pay. At Children’s, no child will ever be turned away.
